After four years stay in the region of East Flanders, the organization has decided to move to the region of Flemish Brabant and more specifically to Leuven.
K. Stade Leuven is one of the oldest tennis clubs in Belgium. The club was founded in 1903, one year after the founding of the Royal Belgian Tennis Federation and is the first club of Flemish Brabant.
K. Stade Leuven is a strong locally based club with a national profile. It is also a club with a heart for young people, where children from an early age learn to discover tennis in
a fun way. "Stade Leuven" is a full tennis complex with nine sites in clay and has about 1000 members.
K. Stade Leuven does not avoid its social responsibility.
Adapted tennis, tennis for people with a physical, mental, visual or hearing disability is possible @ Stade since 2009.
K. Stade Leuven is willing to integrate fully wheelchair
tennis players in the regular tennis and club life. Since 2009 wheelchair tennis is being teached by qualified coaches. This is thus the first club in the region offering for both beginners and competitive wheelchair tennis player a fully expanded tennis program.
Through this initiative, the interested players in Leuven and neighborhoods can practice their favorite sport within a club affiliated @ Tennis Vlaanderen. A unique initiative in the field of integration of people with disabilities in regular sports activity
in the province.
Organizing a large international wheelchair tennis tournament is also the next target for this club.
